(THIP) would like to indicate the major causes for significant changes of business performances in the 2nd Quarter of 2004 as compared with the same Quarter in 2003 as following : The company's net profit is baht 1.125 million in second quarter of 2004 while the company's net profit in the same period in 2004 is baht 5.878 million, the change is over 20% caused by followings : 1.1 In second quarter of 2004, the baht averaged at 42.05 baht per us dollar, depreciating from the second quarter of 2003 average at 40.12 baht per us dollar which averaged depreciate value 1.93 baht per us dollar. 1.2 Resin price drastically rise from the first quarter of 2004 and there is tendency to increase from the effect of crude oil prices. In the second quarter of 2004, the average resin price at 920 us dollar per metric ton increasing from the second quarter of 2003 average resin price at 740 us dollar per metric ton which is average increase 24% Please be informed accordingly.
