Thantawan Industry Public Co., Ltd. (THIP), whose conducting main business
in manufacturing and exporting plastic products having headquarters located
at 143-144 Soi Kangwarn 2, Phetkasem Road, Tambon Omyai, Amphur Sampran,
Nakornpathom Province, Tel. (662) 431-3051-55, Fax (662)431- 3056-57, would
like to report on preparation for readiness in solving Y2K problem as the
first report covering information for the period ended as of 25 August 1998
as followings:
Preparation for Readiness in Solving Y2K Problem
1. Analysis of Problem and Evaluation of the Impact
THIP had organized management working team on Y2K problem totally 8 persons
as follows:

Managing Director had assigned management team, namely no. 2-8, to undertake
analyze the problem and evaluate the impact which might happen and affect
to computer systems of THIP in year 2000 in every lines of work organization
and chain of commands. These computer systems encompass internal management
system, production system, and computer system connecting to external
parties or companies. This working team is responsible to report on details
of the Y2K problem impact, level of Y2K problem, and guidelines and plans
for solving the problem, including preparation of estimated budget for solving
the Y2K problem.
2. Impact of Y2K problem in year 2000 towards THIPs business operation
2.1 On accounting and reporting systems.
Presently, THIP has utilized software named MAC-2 running on DOS in which
the softwarewas designed for using year field in system of B.E. (Buddhist Era)
2501 2600 or A.D. 1958 2057, therefore, will not get any effect from year
2000. This software specification was confirmed by the software vendor,
Double Pine Co., Ltd., located at 205/265 Mu 9, Pattanakarn Road, Prawet
District, Prakanong, Bangkok, Tel./Fax (02) 321-5378.
2.2 On operating system software, database management, and production
application softwares. THIP had not utilized computer system in controlling
operational systems, therefore, will notget any effect from the Y2K problem in
year 2000.
2.3 Other computer systems both in 2.1 and 2.2 are installed independently
from each other asthe Stand-Alone system therefore will not cause any damages
to the total operational systems of THIP.
2.4 Impact which might be caused by external factors.
Since THIP did not have any of its computer systems connected to customers
or suppliers,
therefore, will not get any problem impact to the companys working systems.
3. Analysis Results and Explanation of Management
3.1 As a result of the above management working team had undertaken the
analysis of the Y2K problem and evaluate the circumstances regarding all
computer systems both hardware and software thoroughly, the management had
concluded that all computer systems of the company will not get any effect from
the Y2K problem.
3.2 Eventhough the company had concluded its findings as stated in 3.1,
however, the manage-ment working team will continue to monitor and evaluate the
Y2K problem and its impact closely and periodically.
Certification of Correctness of the Reported Information
I had checked the report statements and information in this report form, then,
certified that such above report statements and information were correct and
all inclusive, having not false statements, having not made anyone mistaken of
the facts or had missed any facts which had to be materially informed in which
might cause damages to those securities holders or purchasers.
For this case and to be evidence that all these documents are documents which
I had checked and certified of correctness as the same copy, I had assigned
to Mr. Phietoon Trivijitkasem as one who signed all pages of this documents.
If any of these documents had not signature of Mr. Phietoon Trivijitkasem on
