ADDITIONAL CLARIFICATION OF BOARD MEETING AGENDA, NO.11/2000

Subject : Additional Clarification of Board of Directors' Meeting Agenda, No. 11/2000 Attention : Director and Manager Stock Exchange of Thailand. With reference to Thantawan Industry Public Co., Ltd. (THIP) had reported SET yesterday, November 8, on THIP's board of directors' meeting, no. 11/2000, THIP would like to clarify additional meeting resolution details pertaining to meeting agenda no. 5 , considering other matters, as follows: Agenda 5 : Resolutions on Other Matters Consideration 5.1 Acknowledgement on Machinery Purchasing from You Jen Enterprise Co.,Ltd. THIP had ordered drinking straw manufactured machineries from You Jen Enterprise Co.,Ltd., company registered in Taiwan, for amounting $HK 8.7 million. Upon the order THIP had paid purchasing deposit amounting Baht 28,886,175 (equivalent of $HK 5,655,000), in which the purchasing was for replacement of old machineries running out of useful life. 5.2 Acknowledgement on Signing of Factory Construction Contract with IEM Co.,Ltd. THIP had signed a factory construction contract with IEM Co.,Ltd. for amount of Baht 10,700,000 (excluded VAT). And THIP had partially made payment amounting Baht 5,534,040 (exclude VAT) on October 2, 2000 for the actual construction done. This factory construction has purpose for production process efficiency improvement and effectiveness. 5.3 Acknowledgement on Advance Payment for Bio-degradable Project Made to Sin Guen Trading Co.,Ltd. THIP had made advance payment for Bio-degradable Project to Sin Guen Trading Co.,Ltd.,company registered in Peoples' Republic of China, for amount of RMB 1,500,000 or in equavalent of Baht 7,500,000 on September 12, 2000. Due to this project has been at the stage of development studies, therefore, the total project budget could not be definitely identified. However, THIP is entitled for full refunding from the contracted party if this project finally will not yield results of the viable commercial Bio-degradable products. Please be informed accordingly.
