Operating Results for 2006

Ref.THIP-SET 007/2550 February 23, 2007 Subject : Disclosure of Business Performance Year of 2006 Attention : Director and Manager SET Enclosures : Thantawan Industry PLC's Audited Financial Statements Year 2006 Thantawan Industry Public Company Limited's Board of Director had considered audited financial statements as of December 2006. The company's net profit in year 2006 were 27.15 million baht while in year 2005 were 93.12 million baht, equally 65.97 million baht or 70.84% decrease from the previous year by following causes:- 1. There was no other revenues in year 2006 while there were 40 million baht transferring of the doubtful account in year 2005 as revenue therefore the revenues decrease 40 million baht. 2. Cost of goods sold in 2006 was 662.51 million baht equally 80.54% of total revenue while cost of goods sold in 2007 was 618.21 million equally 77.00% of total revenue. Increasing cost of goods sold caused by 9.65% increase in price of resin from the previous year which affect by crude oil price in the world market, and increasing in minimum wage as well. 3. Sales and management costs in 2006 was 156.10 million baht while in 2005 was 145.73 million baht equally 145.73 million baht or 7.12% increase from the previous year by following causes:- 3.1) Provincial Electricity Authority had collected electricity cost in total amount of 4.46 million baht as the reconciliation which Electricity Authority had billed lower than the actual consumption price per unit during June 2003 to March 2005. The company had recorded this expense in 2006. 3.2) There was loss of foreign exchange 4.62 million baht in 2006, while there was gain 4.50 million baht in 2005. Please be informed accordingly.
